We led the development of the WHO SMART Guidelines (Standards-based, Machine-readable, Adaptive, Requirements-based, and Testable). This groundbreaking initiative transforms WHO's evidence-based recommendations into digital-ready building blocks that can be directly implemented in health information systems. The SMART Guidelines provide a clear pathway from global policy to national practice, establishing common data standards, workflows, and decision-support logic that enable countries and partners to implement consistent, interoperable, and scalable digital health solutions. By leading this work, we helped create a framework that bridges the gap between guideline publication and real-world implementation, ensuring that digital health systems improve care delivery and outcomes worldwide.

We led the development of UNICEF INVENT, the organization's global digital health and innovation registry. INVENT serves as a central platform for documenting, tracking, and coordinating digital health solutions across UNICEF's country offices and partners. The platform brings visibility to projects worldwide, helping teams avoid duplication, identify opportunities for collaboration, and scale successful initiatives. With standardized metadata and alignment to global frameworks, INVENT strengthens UNICEF's ability to manage its digital portfolio and ensure that technology investments directly support child health and wellbeing. By leading this initiative, we helped create a tool that empowers UNICEF and its partners to build more coherent, evidence-driven, and impactful digital health ecosystems.

We led the development of the WHO Digital Health Atlas, a global open-source platform that helps governments, donors, and implementers map, assess, and coordinate digital health initiatives. The Atlas provides a central registry of digital health projects worldwide, offering transparency on where and how solutions are deployed. It supports ministries of health and their partners with tools to evaluate project maturity, align investments, and scale innovations responsibly. Our work helped shape a platform that strengthens collaboration across the digital health ecosystem and ensures that technology delivers measurable benefits for health systems and communities.
